Ed Norton is to be the new Banner in the rehash of Ang Lee’s Rehash (just heard)

I’d heard a few snippets about this film but what’s the deal?

I managed to watch about 40 mins of the Ang Lee Hulk film at last and what a bizzare and strange interpretation of the film. It was pretty awful though you sort of got the feeling he was trying to be different and interpretive and fell on his face.

So are they now remaking the origin story ?

Apparantly so but the details are a little sketchy.  One of the movie critics on the radio was saying that its a case of being a standalone version or remake rather than a sequel.  Like yourself, I tried to watch it but gave up about halfway through.  The CGI Hulk didn’t work for me.  The rumour is, it will feature the ‘grey’ hulk as opposed to the green.  Whether it will be another CGI job or just a rather large bodybuilder I don’t know but I did enjoy the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferringou version from the late 70’s.  Norton is an interesting choice as Banner but will it be Bruce or David I wonder?

Were Bruce and David Banner different characters in the original comic strip? I thought … probably mistakenly that Bruce Banner was the TV name they adopted and David Banner was the Comic version .. or was that the other way round.

    Though i think in the Ang Lee film he made them father and son <!– s??? –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/huh.gif" alt="???" title="Huh" /><!– s??? –>

Agreed – it was a dreadful film!

Ask anyone what The Hulk’s about; they’ll tell you it’s about a man who turns green, rips his shirt, and smashes things up in a rage.

Ask Ang Lee; he’ll tell you it’s about fathers and sons, and that’s the film he made. Deluded.

    The CGI was p*ss-poor!
