PodKast: Master Rumours & Doctor Who Classic DVD Sales Record

Kasterborous Doctor Who podKastGet ready for a brand new podKast in which Christian Cawley, Brian Terranova and James McLean discuss the latest Doctor Who news.

This week, we discuss the various rumours concerning the speculated return of the Master in Doctor Who Series 8. Is it Charles Dance? Is it Richard Armitage? Perhaps the new Master will be Steve John Shepherd? We don’t know, but we’re certainly interested and we’d love to hear your thoughts on this particularly interesting topic.

Also, we spend a chunk of time discussing Mark Gatiss’ forthcoming BBC Worldwide junket to Brazil to promote Doctor Who and Sherlock, marvel at the sales figures for The Web of Fear on DVD, celebrate the reunion of the Doctor, Ace and Bernice, and share with you our recommendations!

What’s more, you can now listen and subscribe to the podKast via our Audioboo channel! Head to http://audioboo.fm/channel/doctorwhopodkast and click play to start listening. You can also comment and record your own boos in response to our discussions!

Meanwhile you can use the player below to listen through Audioboo:

You haven’t clicked play yet?! What are you waiting for? As well as our new Stitcher and Audioboo presence you can also use one of these amazingly convenient ways to download and enjoy this week’s podKast.

“It’d be really good if they did more of those live theatre-casts if you could get them on Netflix or on Amazon or through your Virgin box.”

Jesus H Bidmead, Christian! Why not go all the way and ask to have them edited down to a 2 minute TARDISode you could watch on your phone?

Unless this is a different use of “through your virgin box” in which case I’m all in favour.

  2. Gareth Kavanagh says:

This week’s podkast appears to have an unacceptable absence of the Horns of Nimon. 1/10

    • James Mclean says:

Which is curiously the score I’d have given Horns of Nimon if it had been an unacceptable presence on this week’s podkast! :)

      • I think there may be a case for regular sound effects from Nimon appearing at random in future podKasts ;)

        • Gareth Kavanagh says:

I think it’s an essential for any modern, forward looking podkast…

          • Oh wait until you hear next week’s ;)

  3. Gareth says:

How about Capaldi would be great in a double role as the Doctor and The Master , then you would really have a darker reflection of the Doctor.

  4. Mark27b says:

    Christian: “…that’s ridiculous…sounds like a fan spasm…”

Why can’t you have multiple Masters in an episode? If you can have multiple doctors; two, three or five etc… in a story you can have multiples of other Timelords too.

    • I don’t think that was me, was it? Suspect James McLean is guilty there…

      • James Mclean says:

Less its impossible, nor that its ridiculous, my point was that it sounded more like a Fan wet dream than anything I could see them doing. Time will tell. Always does. Etc.

Tell us what you think!
