The world doesn’t end ‘cos the Doctor dances! To celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who, The Silver Bullet in London is hosting a Radiophonic Rave-up on Saturday 23rd November.
Situated at Station Place opposite Finsbury Park Tube Station, The Silver Bullet promises a cosmic disco, sci-fi party tunes, time-travelling cocktails and vintage Doctor Who projections. And as if that wasn’t enough, celebrity fan and DJ Paul Hartnoll from Orbital will be entertaining revellers with a unique set on the night, alongside Joe Muggs from Sound of the Cosmos and Slugrave and Jude Rogers from The Guardian, with the resident SPENT DJs also in attendance.
Guaranteed at the event are fine beers and spirits – Gelth excepted – non-stop ‘Who-themed’ dance floor action, DJs in Cyberman masks, and “all versions of the Doctor Who theme music that we can find.”
Here’s what The Silver Bullet have to say about it on their website:
“Hardcore fans and Joe Public are all welcome, so if you’re going to the celebration in Docklands or just watching The Day of the Doctor at home, come afterwards to the SPENT RADIOPHONIC RAVE. You’ll have such a good time that you’ll need to regenerate afterwards.”
The party runs from 8pm through till 3am, and tickets are £5 for those booking in advance, and £6 on the door.
