This wasn’t attached with the episode I saw yesterday. Is this a standalone trailer?

    • avatar joesiegler says:

So it is. This was the first story I read this morning here. :)

  2. avatar BOJAY says:

The Eye of Harmony, or perhaps Gallifrey, reflected from or rising up in her eyes?

  3. avatar vortexter says:

If Bessie is in the picture, then that’s sent a fanboy shiver down my spine. I’m convinced that’s Gallifrey as it looks the same from when it appeared in Tennants last story.

  4. avatar Marf Prob says:

Dr Simeon (GI) is in the TARDIS and when the Doctor falls over he’s in the TARDIS but it has plants all over it… Hope that helps

    • avatar authorman94 says:

Could it be the Cloister Room from “Logopolis”? It looks similar with the overgrown weeds.

  5. avatar Scotfan says:

Grabs 11 to 13 are muchos exciting. Clara in what looks very 80s style garb, then 70s garb and some strange car obscuring our view…

Hmm, maybe time to stay off the net for a week. Speculation might lead to spoilers!

  6. avatar SofaJockey says:

Bessie (and Clara) are seen at the same location as the 3rd Doctor is when being chased by the conical trap – before – he is transported to Galifrey. Proof: see the tree in the background in the clip with Clara. The tree the 3rd Doctor sees the approaching cone next to in the episode ‘The Five Doctors’ is exactly the same tree.

  7. avatar Who's who says:

River Song is back!! I knew River and Clara are somehow related. Yey!

  8. avatar Marf Prob says:

That big beam of light is inside the TARDIS. River song is Clara because RIP river song must link to the deaths of Clara somehow…. Might be false tho

  9. avatar Marf Prob says:

BINGO! Clara is possible because she is like a female Doctor who – the orange stuff is her regenerating into her past selves!

  10. avatar Gary says:

of all the companions since 2005, Clara has to be the most conservatively dressed, common era (eg not Victorian era) girl they’ve ever had on the show. I keep thinking there has to be some significance to this, as though it would be inappropriate for The Doctor to experience her as he has Rose or Amy “The Legs” Pond. As though Clara is family.

  11. avatar Tina says:

What is that light in the last 2 shots, and is it just where River was standing in the previous shots?

  12. avatar Mark Williams says:

It can’t be Bessie. The back is all wrong, and the seats are missing. Compare the image to the scenes in “The 5 Doctors”.

  13. avatar Kevin Scott Measimer says:

I say its Bessie as well as the production was able to recreate. The interior of the Tardis does look overgrown. Probably the Doctor has been “dead” or missing for a long time or the Tardis is in mourning. Clara jumps into the eye of harmony to save the Doctor and is split into various times and places, always near the Doctor. Will she survive? …….

  14. avatar Andy Blake says:

Is that the beginnings of regeneration energy or vortex energy in Clara’s eyes? So…either she’s a female TimeLord (unlikely, as the Doctor would sense it) or…Bad Wolf?

Well, Bad Wolf would certainly have the power to project Clara to multiple locations in time and space. And to resurrect her each time she dies.

And is it just me, or is Clara dressed uncannily like Ace and then Sarah in pics 11-13? What is she doing…reliving past lives as companions?

So…Clara is Bad Wolf, and Bad Wolf is ALL the companions? Like a sort of companion archetype? Well, she does say she was created to save the Doctor…

Ok, that’s probably way off target. But I still think Clara is linked to Rose/Bad Wolf in some way that I can’t quite get a handle on. It would lead nicely into the anniversary special, and…well, take another look at the new opening title sequence, which is evidently meant to summarise Series 7b. I see a rose and a wolf at the lower right-hand corner at 4-5 seconds in. And neither have figured in the series…yet.

(Except, of course, for that Ultravox song ‘Hungry like the Wolf’, and the Rose & Crown, and the upside-down crate of Mateus Rose wine in the haunted house, and indeed a whole Rose-fest of not-so-subtle references in ‘Hide’ where some classic Rose moments are reprised by Clara. Surely too many hints in too small a space, Mr Moffat?)

  15. avatar John Ramsay says:

Has anybody considered the possibility that Clara might be the Doctor’s granddaughter?
