The Brig’s Daughter Back for 50th!

Here’s a fan-pleaser – Jemma Redgrave is to return as Kate Stewart for Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary adventure!

Kate Stewart

The actress, a member of the famous and critically acclaimed Redgrave acting dynasty, first appeared in 2012′s The Power of Three as the daughter of Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart. Fans were delighted to see Kate Stewart following in her father’s footsteps as the new UNIT chief. We last saw UNIT, of course, in last week’s The Bells of Saint John

Sadly we know little else beyond the BBC’s announcement, but it’s likely that the timing coincides with some location work over the coming days.

  1. Happier about this news than Tennant and Piper actually….lol

  2. TimeChaser says:

Definitely a character that should be recurring. I’m glad they’re bringing her back.

  3. Bob James says:

    Yes!

  4. Simon says:

Excellent news! Wonder if they’ll get Frazier Hines and Katy Manning back and do a full-on tribute to the UNIT era of the show. Hopefully after the special, she’ll become a recurring character in the style of the Brig.
