Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan (Amy Pond)

Karen Gillan Joins Action Series Spoof

Karen Gillan’s post Doctor Who career continues apace with an appearance in the Adult Swim live-action terrorism spoof NTSF:SD:SUV::

Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan (Amy Pond)

Adding to her upcoming appearances in rom-com Not Another Happy Ending and the horror film Oculus, Gillan will be playing Daisy, a Quartermaster-like tech expert, in the new series currently filming in Los Angeles and London, which is set to return in July.

NTSF:SD:SUV:: (which stands for National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle) is the brainchild of comedian Paul Scheer, star of FX series The League and co-host of the hilarious bad movie podcast series How Did This Get Made?

Scheer stars as the constantly squinting, sunglasses wearing, ass kicking government agent Trent Hauser alongside the likes of Rebecca Romijn, his real life wife June Diane Raphael and the eye-patched former Star Trek captain Kate Mulgrew.

About

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
