The Radio Times' famous Vote Dalek" cover

Vote Dalek Again!

It might have escaped your attention but apparently Doctor Who is 50 this year (I know, you’d think someone would have mentioned it?) but what might have passed you by is that grand old lady of publications the Radio Times is 90 this year too!

The Radio Times' famous Vote Dalek" cover

So why not grant them both a birthday treat and ‘Vote Dalek!’ for the winner of the PPA Cover of the Century?

The Professional Publishers Association want you to decide the best magazine cover of the last one hundred years and we can think of nothing more worthy of your ‘X’  than this iconic Dalek front cover from 2005.

And just in case you need another reason for voting for our Westminster-bound Dalek friend then how about this beautiful piece of serendipity as pointed out by the RT:

“It was election week, so we chose to photograph the Daleks looming across Westminster Bridge, a shoot that took weeks to organise – and a feat that’s just been repeated by Mark Gatiss and the crew of Who bio-drama An Adventure in Space and Time, which you’ll see later this year.”

Well I’m convinced!

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
