More casting from An Adventure is Space and Time has been announced, as the film based around Doctor Who’s inception enters production.

The script readthroughs saw the actors and writer Mark Gatiss sitting around a table to begin rehearsals for filming for November’s historic 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.
Mark Gatiss, excited fanboy that he is, Tweeted at the beginning of the proceedings:
The day has dawned! Read-through today of ‘An Adventure in Space & Time’. Bill always said that one day he’d come back…

The Radio Times has taken things even further by printing some exclusive shots of Mark Gatiss, Waris Hussein and Sacha Dhawan together at the recent screening of An Unearthly Child at the British Film Institute. Dhawan was recently revealed to be the actor who would be portraying Hussein in the drama, a man best known in the Doctor Who world for directing the very first Doctor Who story – the one that everyone had gathered to watch! Hussein was also at the first read-through for An Adventure in Space and Time and told the Radio Times:
You should have seen from our earlier report that David Bradley (Dinosaurs on a Spaceship), Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife) and Brian Cox (The End of Time, Part One) have been cast in the drama in the important roles of William Hartnell, Verity Lambert and Sydney Newman.
While we excitedly wait for filming to start, we shall keep you updated with more information as it comes along.
