Frazer Hines and Patrick Troughton in The Two Doctors

Frazer Hines Promotes The Time Travelling Scot

Travelling to Tasmania long-serving Doctor Who companion Frazer Hines popped into the ABC Hobart studios for a brief chat with Chris Wisbey on the eve of his appearance at his own show: The Time Travelling Scot.

Frazer Hines and Patrick Troughton in The Two Doctors

In a half hour long, genial chat (which can be heard in its entirety) Hines discusses his close friendship with Patrick Troughton, being the first vegetarian on TV and once possessing TV’s sexiest legs.

Wisbey himself is a bit abrasive and dismissive but Hines also briefly talks about his hopes for more of his lost episodes to be recovered, the trials and tribulations of Doctor Who fan conventions and the show’s ‘old boys club’.

About

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
