Episode 7 Filming Commences
Once more unto the breach…was the quote used by a famous man recently; actually it was director, Farren Blackburn, as he said on Twitter regarding the beginning of his filming on the new Doctor Who episode written by Neil Cross!
Filming started in late October and is due to continue until about 6th November, so if you’re in the Newport area and around the Gaer estate which appeared in Torchwood: Children of Earth – or if you happen to be hanging around St. Woolos Cemetery (we don’t need to know why) - then you may be lucky enough to spot Doctor Who being made. Although they may have moved on and hidden away from all of us dribbling fans by now.
Blackburn also less than cryptically hinted:
BTW the Doc is looking cooler than EVER!!! When I say The Doc is looking cooler than EVER!! I mean what he’s wearing!!! Just wait and see!!!
Clearly it’s a very exciting ensemble of clothing that we’re to look forward to in the new episode - can’t wait to see just exactly what Blackburn is so excited about… Could it possibly be a new hat?
Apart from being set in the 1980’s, not much is known about Neil Cross’s new episode, apart from its placement which (at the moment) will be episode two of the 2013 batch of episode or episode eight of Series 7. Or Series 3, if you reset the counter once Matt Smith jumped aboard the TARDIS.
