Set for release in January 2013, Prisoners of Time is a new 12 part serial from IDW featuring a different Doctor in successive issues leading up to the 50th anniversary in November…

The guys behind the current Assimilation² Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover, David and Scott Tipton, are responsible for the stories in this exciting new series, while Simon Fraser provides art and Francesco Francavilla the all-important cover designs.
As you might hope, each episode features a story starring a past incarnation of the Doctor with key companions, and this first issue cover clearly portrays the First Doctor, Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, as portrayed by William Hartnell, William Russell and Jacqueline Hill.
Further details on the series aren’t yet known – we’ll let you know when we have them!

Wow. Looking forward to this!
This is going to be awesome! I loved the way IDW handled “The Forgotten” which also featured Doctors 1-10 (The Eleventh wasn’t in the picture yet). They captured the previous Doctor’s really well, and even addressed the “half human” issue and the (apparent) onset of the Time War with the Eighth Doctor. I think IDW has produced comic Doctor Who that is at least on par if not better with the best of DWM’s offerings. I’m really looking forward to this also.
This drawing of Hartnell looks a bit Dr. Michio Kaku to me.
Is that a Zarbi in the background?
Where are those people on the cover?!
