If you’re a fan of Downton Abbey, then maybe one day you’ll be in for a treat! Former star of the show Thomas Hawes has recently revealed that he has been eying up a part in Doctor Who, not that he’s been offered one mind you; it’s just something that he really wants to do.
Reported in The Sun newspaper, the actor, who left Downton Abbey after his character was killed off, apparently talked about how he would wither like to appear in Doctor Who or a James Bond movie. In fact if the paper has used his words accurately, he may even be looking to be put in charge of the TARDIS someday:
Should we let him off even though he described our hero as ‘Doctor Who’? Joking aside, would an actor like Hawes be suitable for the role of the Doctor or would he be better off as a guest star such as his former colleague Hugh Bonneville was in 2011’s The Curse of the Black Spot?
We’re not being facetious here, we actually want to know if you think that Thomas Hawes would fit in well in the world of Doctor Who…
