The Ultimate Doctor Who Art Auction Countdown

Robin Miller is possibly insane. Altruistic and dedicated, yes; generous with his time and an inspiration to most of us definitely.

As the man behind The Ultimate Doctor Who Art Auction 2012, he is promoting a splendiforous collection of star-created artwork to be auctioned off for charity in a month’s time. As if that wasn’t mad enough, the promotion for this starts right here, right now, today, with a piece by one Bernard Cribbins!

As Robin himself says:

Wilfred Mott, endeared himself to Doctor Who fans from his first appearance before earning a permanant recurring role and then ultimately proving to the be the downfall of the Tenth Doctor.

His drawing represents his character, showing a telescope pointing at the skies, as he himself was doing in his first defined appearance as Wilf, in Partners in Crime.  The drawing is created in black marker on white 8×5 card, and signed with “(Wilfred Mott) Astronomer” added beneath.

This is all building up to an unforgettable auction, so those of you interested in unique celebrity artwork should start following the twelveby12 blog!

We’ll be featuring more highlights from the build up over the next few weeks here on Kasterborous.
