Even when Doctor Who isn’t on air, you can barely move on TV for current and ex-stars of the show.
If it isn’t a Paul McGann voiceover for major banks it’s David Tennant waggling his finger at new roommate Richard Branson (surely a sitcom waiting to happen?).
But we all love the stars of Doctor Who best when they’re acting, so to find coming dramas starring David Tennant, David Morrissey, Billie Piper and Matt Smith is pretty cool…
Probably the highest profile of the shows at this point is True Love, an episodic, linked drama which features Tennant, Piper and Morrissey starring separately in their own stories for the series.
Meanwhile, the Doctor himself has donned glasses and worn his hair slightly differently (again) for a period piece set in the 1948 Olympic Games, the last time that the athletic and sport competition was held in the UK.
True Love starts on BBC One this Sunday evening; a broadcast date for Bert and Dickie is yet to be confirmed.
