WHO-RAY! It’s Leela!

Fans of Leela, and indeed Louise Jameson, rejoice! WHO-RAY, a shop dedicated to all things Doctor Who, are having a special day in her honour and the woman of the hour will be there herself!

Louise played Leela from 1977′s The Face of Evil to 1978′s The Invasion of Time, accompanying the Fourth Doctor Tom Baker on some of his most memorable adventures. More recently she has starred with Tom Baker in some fantastic new Big Finish audio adventures.

Doctor Who - Leela, K9 and the DoctorTaking place on Sunday 8th July, the event will include the following:

  • “An Audience with Louise Jameson” – an opportunity to watch Louise being interviewed about her time in Doctor Who and her subsequent career on stage & television
  • Autograph & photo sessions (there will be an opportunity to pre-order autographs – details & fees to follow)
  • Live Daleks
  • A charity raffle in aid of Butterwick House Children’s Hospice – the main prize is a specially-commissioned painting of Leela, to be signed by Louise herself

Tickets for the event are £15 per person, which includes admission to ‘An Audience with Louise Jameson’ and one personal item autographed. There will be a fee (to be confirmed) if any additional signings are required.

Other details are to be announced but surely that’s more than enough to be going on with for now! The event will be held in Stockton-on-Tees, maps and direction plus further details can be viewed on the shop’s Facebook page.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see Jameson at her natural best and get all your lovely merchandise with her beautiful face on it signed.
