Expect grainy and blurry photos to start appearing in certain newspapers; expect rumours about the end of the series, about the Production team falling out and about Matt Smith leaving the series forever.
But listen to none of them. There will be accusations, there will be hearsay but all you need to focus on is that Doctor Who is coming back for another successful year and it’s looking like it’ll be the biggest yet!
We’ve got Steven Moffat, Caroline Skinner and Marcus Wilson in their separate Producer roles. Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be doing their usual acting thing they do so well and there’s a new friend awaiting the Doctor in what’s described as “the last very place that he could ever have expected…”
The first Director to take a stab at the new episodes will be award winning Saul Metzstein who’s responsible for Micro Men which starred Alexander Armstrong (The Sarah Jane Adventures) and Martin Freeman (Sherlock). The new production of Doctor Who will take place at BBC Wales’s newest creation, BBC Roath Lock Studios, which officially opens in March.
Old monsters are returning, new monsters are waiting in the dark for the TARDIS team to defeat them and by the words of Steven Moffat series 7 of Doctor Who will be:
“The biggest, the best and the most ambitious season we’ve ever made”.
Keep your eyes peeled for more news on the new series as we get it!
The filming of Doctor Who series 7 starts on February 20th. It will be shown on BBC One later this year.
