Tennant Helps the Homeless
David Tennant has helped raised £50,000 for young persons’ homeless charity Centrepoint by taking part in the third annual Ultimate Pub Quiz – where teams representing London Businesses could bid for the help of a knowledgeable celebrity.
As Contact Music reports, Tennant was auctioned off as part of a selection of famous faces including Hollyoaks walking grin Jorgie Porter, rom-com stalwart and News of the World hangman Hugh Grant, and chat show host and comic book scribe (you sure about that description? – Ed) Jonathan Ross.
According to a Centrepoint spokesman:
“It was our best Ultimate Pub Quiz yet and the first in the Centrepoint Tower, it couldn’t have gone much better.”
The eventual winners were Herbert Smith LLP, an international law firm.
Centrepoint offer young homeless people the chance for a bright future by using your donations to sponsor rooms that the recipient can call home for up to two years. During that time the charity also offers counselling, support and training, as well as the necessary life skills needed to help a young homeless person live independently.
If you want to change the lives of young homeless people head over to the Centrepoint website to find out how you can help.
