We had her as Madame De Pompadour, but despite the amazing spark between her and the Tenth Doctor Sophia Myles was sadly never invited back to Doctor Who despite the meandering end to the RTD era in early 2010.
Just a few weeks ago Steven Moffat was keen to let fans know that beautiful actress Sophia Myles was on Twitter, and if you keep an eye on their tweet you’ll notice the odd feeling of social familiarity… something that has gone slightly further with this recent tweet to DWM editor Tom Spilsbury:

Now call us cynical if you will, but that seems like an awful lot of work for someone who appeared in Doctor Who 6 years ago for under 45 minutes.
We’re not going to jump to any conclusions, however: we’ve got our readers to do that for us.

Hmmm, someone from the Doctors past (specifically the 10th) with whom there were hints of a romance but died before they had really got to know each other but now comes back to encounter the current Doctor (the 11th)..
Well its been done before…
NEW SERIES 7 COMPANION! There, I said it.
As in the words of The Proclaimers: “Oh, I would walk 500 miles, just to lie in bed with Sophia Myles…”
It’s the Rani!
My God, she’s attractive. And she can act. Get her in there! Thing is, seems like these days, Moffat always seems to exaggerate everything while misleading us at the same time. That’s all well and good as that’s what he does, like RTD before him. But he threw out that thing about following her and her showing up at a con seems like the extent of it. It just seems unlikely that she’d come back to the show, unless it’s as a different character. Dunno.
