Doctor Who News Karen Gillan as Amy Pond

Amy’s “Best Ever” Exit

With Doctor Who due to start filming again next week, several of the scripts have been finalised and are ready to be realised in front of the camera.

But one of the biggest plot points that are doing the “rumour rounds” at the moment is how Amy and Rory Williams exit will take shape.

The details of that particular plot are top secret and only a few have access to the privileged information that we’re all dying to know. The Grand Moff has his plans and is already in a darkened room cackling to himself as he turns ideas into lines of dialogue for a script.

Karen Gillan has discussed these ideas with Moffat and has been left very excited at the thought of what’s to come:

“I think it’s the best ever. I can’t say anything, but oh God, I’m dying to say something!”

These are the very words that will keep us all on a knife edge in the coming months as we keep coming up with the various ideas that we think will form the actresses exit on screen.

Gillan herself has said for a while now that she wants Amy to go out with a bang and what with this series of Doctor Who serving as part of the 50th anniversary year celebrations, we cannot help but feel that her departure is going to be nothing short of amazing.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information as it gets released.

Doctor Who will return to BBC One this autumn.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!

One Response to Amy’s “Best Ever” Exit

Best ever eh? That’s quite a boast to live up to. In terms of modern Who it’ll surely be the equivalent of saying ‘This is going to be the best Christmas that Walford has ever had’.

For example, the mid-series cliffhanger last year was meant to be one of the greatest moments in the series history according to the hype yet in the end it was nowhere near as effective as the ending to The Almost People, which would have been a much more edge of your seat cliffhanger, at least in my eyes.
