Doctor Who Comic Book Mashup!

Amy Pond: Batgirl?Ever wonder how the Doctor would shape up against characters from other fictional universes? Comic Book Resources reckons a lot of you have and as a result dedicated a very cool page to some awesome artwork.

The deal is this: the website poses a question to its followers and its blog artists will pick the best suggestion and it will then be posted onto the site. Last week’s winning musing is Team up or mash up comic book characters with characters from Doctor Who. CBR’s six artists who include: Sean McFarlane, Steve Howard, Nick Perks, Michael Magtanong (whose image accompanies this piece), Chaz Folgar and Brendan Tobin have come up with some truly fantastic drawings.

The top two surely have to be Captain America’s adventures with not only the Eleventh Doctor but the Fourth as well; the other eye-catching realisation is a helpful Ood as Batman’s faithful butler Alfred. But our favourite must be Amy Pond as a kissogram Batgirl!

There are other pictures on the website which also deserve your full attention as well as details on how to follow the blogs on Twitter and also fuller details of the individual artists.

What we’d really like to know is if you have any of your own Doctor Who sketches that you’ve created in your spare time. If so, send them over to us so that we can all have a look at what you’ve done!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
