48th Anniversary Competition!

Well, it’s that time of year, ladies and gentlemen – it’s late November, the nights are drawing in and the weather is generally colder… and it’s Doctor Who’s birthday!

An amazing 48 years ago the show first aired, portraying an equally cold and dark world as a police box sat in a yard and a young girl listened to music in her classroom.

Since then we’ve had amazing adventures, cancellations and resurrections, different Doctors and companions, all carrying forward the remarkable magic that is Doctor Who. In a couple of years we’ll even be reaching the big five-oh, but in the meantime let’s celebrate with a competition!

We’ve got a nice selection of Doctor Who books to giveaway, ideal for yourself or for Christmas gifts:

  • Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia
  • Doctor Who Companion Compendium
  • Doctor Who TARDIS Traveller
  • Death Riders/Heart of Stone by Justin Richards/Trevor Baxendale

In addition, there are 5 runners-up prizes of Ultimate Regeneration, the first book from Kasterborous (and now available on Amazon) compiled by Christian Cawley and featuring contributions from Brian A. Terranova, Thomas W. Spychalski and many others.

As ever, we have a question for you:

Which character is the first to be seen in the very first episode of Doctor Who, an Unearthly Child?

Send your answer via email to [email protected] – note that this competition is open worldwide, and has a closing date of Wednesday, November 30th.

Twitter Competition

If you can’t wait to win a prize don’t worry – we’ve got a much quicker competition for you to enter!

All followers of @kasterborousdw are in with a shout of winning Doctor Who: The Brilliant Book 2012 between now and midnight on Friday, November 25th. If for some reason you don’t already follow us, do something about it right now and start retweeting the competition message when it appears.

When the closing date comes around, we’ll pick one of our lucky retweeting followers as a winner!

Very best of luck!

The Twitter competition is now closed – congratulations to @stuartclowes!
