City of Death: Action Figure Collectors Set

Doctor Who - City of DeathThere’s no doubting the pedigree behind the 1979 serial City of Death – number eight on DWM Mighty 200 – written by Douglas Adams, starring the at-his-peak Tom Baker and international movie villain Julian Glover.

Put simply, any related merchandise would have to have a certain… bouquet.

So behold the new Action Figure Collectors Set: City of Death, featuring the Fourth Doctor (complete with Sonic Screwdriver accessory) and Count Scarleoni, who comes with a pistol, Mona Lisa painting accessory, and interchangeable Scaroth head.

For those not in the know: City of Death saw the Doctor and Romana II (Lalla Ward) investigating a fracture of time in Paris where upon visiting the Louvre, and obtaining an alien bracelet from the Countess Scarleoni (Catherine Schell), the pair become embroiled in a conspiracy by the Count to sell duplicate copies of the Mona Lisa (all original) to fund his diabolical time experiments.

The set is available to pre-order now for £26.99 and are expected to arrive in Forbidden Planet’s mysterious Warehouse of Wonder on the 19th October.

(Note: bouquets not included.)

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
