Pre-order Junk!

Doctor Who Junk TARDISIt wasn’t on screen for more than a few minutes, but the junkyard TARDIS from Neil Gaiman’s instant classic known as The Doctor’s Wife will, like everything else about the story, forever remain in our memories.

Naturally, this gives Character Options a perfect opportunity to rake in some dough, and they’re taking it!  Adding to Character’s already-extensive list of toys based on both the classic and modern series, the Junk TARDIS Console Playset is based on the original design from eleven-year-old Blue Peter competition winner Susannah Leah.

Measuring in at just 5 inches tall, this console will fit perfectly in that one small section of your house that isn’t taken up by Doctor Who merchandise: the kitchen sink!  As you vworp in that direction, make sure you hang onto the included “flight restraint safety straps” so that you don’t fall off, and have a look at the removable console panel and time rotor while you’re at it!  Keep in mind though that just because you can see an Eleventh Doctor action figure in the picture doesn’t mean that one actually comes in the package.

You can pre-order your very own Junk TARDIS Console Playset from Forbidden Planet for a reduced price of £22.49 (RRP £24.99) and it’ll be shipped to you right after it arrives in their warehouse on June 19th!

Still waiting for the Hartnell classic original console room…..and we get this? Come on!

    • Lol! Well on the bright side at least one wall of roundels is somewhat similar to Hartnell’s! ;)

    This it true!

I hope susannah is getting a cut of the merchandising on this. I’d hate for her to not because of some legal clause “all entries become property of BBC” or something.

She did such a fine and innovative design that i believe she has a bright future in design (maybe someday she’ll be part of the doctor who art department).

  4. Aye, the minute they decided to sell it I’ve been thinking the same thing… They better give the kid some of the cash!
