That Tweeting James Corden…

So, Doctor Who is well underway with the filming of its sixth series and rather than bring you the regular “there’s been a casting announcement” update, we thought we’d let you know in a slightly more fun way that James Corden has updated his Twitter feed and it looks like he’s now filming with the Doctor Who team!

Corden played loveable Craig Owens in last year’s absolutely brilliant and somewhat hilarious episode The Lodger and it looks like he’s playing the character once again.

Whilst Corden may have become ever so slightly insufferable for a time, the role he played last year made up for it to some (yes, I am referring to myself) so it will be nice to see him back for a return appearance. That is if it is that straightforward. Readers with sharp minds may remember that Jessica Stevens (nee Hynes) played a character Joan Redfern  in 2007’s Human Nature/ The Family of Blood and then later played her descendent Verity Newman in 2010’s The End of Time, Part Two so there’s always a chance that Corden could be playing someone else entrily.

For those interested, his Twitter feed read:

“Finished League of their own last night. Now i’m in Cardiff for the first day on Dr Who.We’re filming all night till 8am!!! X”

Nothing too cryptic but surely it must fit in with the return of the amateur TARDIS that was above his flat that keen viewers glimpsed once again in the trailer for the new series.

Looks like we will have to wait and see how this one plays out…

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
