Mekhi Phifer Showcases New Talent

He’s a nice guy, that Mekhi Phifer (no, I don’t know how to pronounce it either). When he’s not appearing in movies with the guys from the M&M adverts popular “rapper” Eminem or appearing in the next series of Torchwood, the esteemed actor is launching websites to showcase new movie-making talent, such as  thirdreel.com (check it out).

Thankfully he’s also taken time out to chat about Torchwood: Miracle Day, in which he appears as CIA agent Rex Matheson alongside John Barrowman and Eve Myles reprising Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper.

So Phifer has been here in the UK shooting scenes for Torchwood series 4, and while he’s clearly happy to be involve you do get the feeling he could be a little more patient

Since the show is such a huge hit here in the UK, we had to come out here because I had to play a CIA agent and I had to come get them, so we had to be out here for a couple of weeks. We had to change hotels so we’ve got a smaller boutique hotel because we had to change locations.

They are just a little slow with it.

Hmm. Let’s hope he doesn’t have to go and queue in the local Post Office…

Seriously though, there is a lot of information about Third Reel in the interview, so make sure you read it!
