On Saturday 28th August Doctor Who fans north of the border will be able to meet Doctor Who star Karen Gillan as she visits Hamleys flagship store in Glasgow, St Enoch Shopping Centre for her first in-store signing event.
Taking a break from filming the next series of Steven Moffat’s Doctor Who with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen will be making a rare public appearance.
Talking about the visit Karen said:
“I’m so excited to be travelling up to Scotland to introduce fans to my new Amy Pond action figure, I can’t wait to meet everyoneâ€
Karen who plays Amy Pond, companion to the Eleventh Doctor, will be signing copies of her action figure from 12 noon to 2pm at Hamleys flagship store in Glasgow. From 9am fans will be able to collect a wrist band from the store to ensure their place in the queue.
This is a rare chance to meet the gorgeous co-star of Doctor Who – the Amy Pond actress will be appearing at Hamleys, St Enoch Shopping Centre, Glasgow on Saturday, 28th August 2010 from 12 noon – 2pm.

and yeah Karen is extremely stylish and photogenic. Even her supposed ‘bad’ photos (like some recent ‘bad hair and dress’ day pic and the drunk ones from a while ago) usually look gorgeous. And even when pulling funny faces (check the Prom photos on the Doctor Who website)
Will you have to buy an action figure to get her autograph?
I need to try to get the 5″ figure of Amy Pond for my child for Christmas. I have been surfing the net and visiting shops for weeks now. Nobody appears to have them in stock. I have noticed that there are some being sold on sites like ebay for rediculous money, which I can’t afford. Does anyone know where I can get one at rrp before 21/12/10 as my child is with his mother after that, so it’ll be too late (ie Santa has to come early to Daddy’s house – access arrangements).
