Newcastle is the place to be right now if you’re a Doctor Who fan as marketing agency Robson Brown has transformed the city’s phone boxes into TARDISes for the Doctor Who exhibition.
Eleven of the wonderful creations are called “one sided TARDIS frontsâ€, which means that one entire side of the phone boxes have a display poster recreation of the TARDIS door. There is a special three sided edition, including a roof light, located opposite Newcastle central station.
Robson Brown media director Peter Aldcroft commented:
“We were delighted to be asked by the Centre for Life to produce an eye-catching campaign to support their exhibition. The iconic TARDIS is widely recognized and transforming telephone boxes around the city has proved to be a great success…
“The Doctor Who exhibition welcomed over 4,000 visitors across the opening weekend, which is fantastic. The creative team here at Robson Brown have done an outstanding job and we are very pleased with the results.”
The Doctor Who exhibition itself is currently open to visitors and runs until the end of October at the Centre For Life. It features monsters, props and costumes from the hit BBC show.
So, get your Sonic Screwdrivers and your bow ties (and a redhead if you can) and head to Newcastle for an opportunity to play Doctor Who!
