Press Release: For Immediate Release 1 April 2010
TEESSIDE, United Kingdom. (April 1, 2010) Kasterborous.com, the popular Doctor Who website, today announced that it has been acquired by Google.
The acquisition is a part of Googles growing empire and will see the site become a focus of Google News’ coverage of the popular British sci fi series.
“Doctor Who has become increasingly popular over the past five years. What better brand to align with than the long-running Kasterborous blog, allowing a considerable volume of new Time Lord content to be spread throughout the web in a relationship we know will be mutually beneficial.”
The acquisition of Kasterborous will allow Christian Cawley and Brian Terranova to concentrate on their other projects including a book, album and sitcom..
Update
Just to be clear, ladies and gentlemen, this article was published on April 1st…

The rumours were true when Google said it found Kasterborous a threat and wanted to pay off Christian and Brian with £6,000,000 each to go away. Now we can see the majestics turn their work to books, music and a television – lovely.
Will I still be able to do ‘Caption Captains?’
Christian will have time to watch the Key to Time now.
Aha, yes I will!
Of course, this is an April Fool, and I should give credit to problogger.com for giving me the idea.
I don’t expect we fooled anyone, but we hope to have raised a few smiles…
What?
Oh well.
Still, good news for Caption Captains.
