Torchwood Series 4 Data

As rumours go, it’s a bit of a strange one. Apparently Brent Spiner – Data in the Star Trek: The Next Generation series and movies – is on course for a part in Torchwood Series 4.

While details of Torhwood Series 4 are sketchy to say the least – with John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Kai Owen the only virtual certainties – getting Spiner involved would certainly be fun. There have also been rumours of James Marsters (who previously appeared in Series 2 as rival Time Agent Captain John Hart) not to mention Russell Tovey (Midshipman Alonso Frame) appearing. Of course until something solid is announced about the series itself, nothing in the casting area can be taken as read…

According to his update (follow @BrentSpiner if you like a bit of Star Trek)

Now how about those Torchwood rumors, hmm?–I think I would’ve heard something about it. Haven’t.

Or so he says, anyway. What’s the point in anyone ever denying anything, if everyone just assumes you’re lying, eh?
