Who on Who?

Wow – Who on Who? (broadcast yesterday at 5.05pm on BBC Radio 2) was a great show, featuring David Tennant and Russell T Davies discussing the past 5 years of Doctor Who and of course the current epic, The End of Time.

Thanks to some kindly uploaders on YouTube, here’s a clip that features David Tennant introducing a clip from The End of Time, Part Two – it’s a scene between the Doctor and the Master:

What a great clip – and it was a top show too.

Described as “an amiable wander through time and space” by Elisabeth Mahoney in the Guardian the audience was treated to some of the pop tunes that have appeared in the Russell T Davies era of Doctor Who as well as an insight into the mind of the prolific Davies himself:

“My natural style doesn’t explain what’s going on. I will not have characters sitting down explaining why they’re doing things,” he said. “In science fiction you have to do that because they’re not doing real things.”

“It’s not good enough to write sci-fi as cold and emotionless,” he argued. “I just carried on writing it as drama.”

You can listen to Who on Who? on BBC iPlayer until Tuesday, 5th January, 2010.
