Stuff of Nightmares Reaction

Episode 1 of Hornet’s Nest – the new Doctor Who audio adventure series starring Tom Baker and Richard Franklin – has been reviewed in the South Wales Argus, and the reaction is favourable!

Hornet's Nest: The Stuff of NightmaresAs with the following four instalments, The Stuff Of Nightmares is written by Paul Magrs, and acts as a scene-setter for the later releases in the Hornets Nest Series.

The Doctor has been reunited with his former UNIT colleague Captain Mike Yates, and is trapped by a horde of vicious creatures in an apparently innocuous English country cottage.

Tom Baker steps back into the role of the Doctor with ease, the edginess and humour he originally brought to the role are still there, while his rich vocal tones have also matured like a fine wine and should be savoured as such!

It’s good to see the positive reaction to The Stuff Of Nightmares – we hope to have a review of the BBC Audiobook release sometime soon.

In the meantime, watch out for something absolutely indomitable over the next few days…
