TARDIS Kitchen

Apparently David Tennant can’t cook! The exiting Doctor Who star apparently plans to develop “life skills” such as cooking and gardening over the next few months while he’s not looking for work, reports Digitial Spy.

“Those basic life skills seem to have escaped me and maybe now’s the time to make them my hobby.

“Cooking is not something that comes naturally to me, so I’m working my way through some cookbooks to teach myself. I don’t have any distinctive flair for it. So I’m trying to learn some techniques there.”

Saturday morning TV, David. That’s where it’s at. BBC One 10am to 11.30am Saturday Kitchen with James Martin – that show’ll see you right with a combination of classic clips from Keith Floyd, Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein not to mention live stuff with James himself.

If you can’t manage that, try the Hairy Bikers for engaging cookery and baking entertainment.

Or are you just touting for a guest appearance on Saturday Kitchen?

On his other aspirations, he added: “I’m trying to teach myself how not to kill plants, which I do manage to have the skill for. I’d like to be a little more nurturing with my garden.”

Certainly not touting for an appearance on Gardener’s World, that’s for certain…
