Doctor Who Ongoing from IDW

Silver Scream coverDoctor Who Ongoing – the new Tony Lee-penned comic series from IDW – kicks off with the 2 part Silver Scream this week. Newsrama features a selection of excellent preview images (one of which features a Tony Lee cameo…)

Art in the first issue – which sees the Tenth Doctor team up with movie legend Charlie Chaplin to thwart an alien invasion in 1920s Hollywood – is provided by Al Davison while the cover is courtesy of Paul Grist.

“At long last Doctor Who is an ongoing monthly series! Tony Lee (Doctor Who: The Forgotten), kicks off the time/space-faring series with the two-part Silver Scream,” read the issue’s solicitation.

“In chapter one, the Doctor travels to 1920s Hollywood where he befriends Charlie Chaplin and, of course, discovers an alien plot.”

If Tony Lee’s The Forgotten is anything to go by, this new ongoing series of solo adventures for the Tenth Doctor should be a great trip to enjoy!
