It’s Red Nose Day!

That’s right – today’s the day millions of people across the UK donate and sponsor money for good causes across deprived areas of the UK and some of the world’s poorest countries.

With David Tennant hosting the show alongside many others (Davina McCall, Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross… the list goes on) Comic Relief – Do Something Funny for Money hopes to top previous efforts contribute something meaningful.

The Doctor Who link is completed in tonight’s telethon with a special Comic Relief edition of The Sarah Jane Adventures – we’ve got a sneak preview below…

Comic Relief – Do Something Funny for Money kicks off at 7pm tonight on BBC One, with updates and news items throughout the day across the BBC Network.

A long-term Doctor Who fan, Christian grew up watching the show and has early memories of the Graham Williams era. His favourite stories are Inferno, The Seeds of Doom and Human Nature (although The Empty Child, Blink and Utopia all come close). When he’s not bossing around the news team, Christian is a freelance writer specialising in mobile technology and domestic computing, and enjoys classic rock, cooking and spending time in the countryside with his wife and young children.
