Peter Purves Autobiography

The great man himself Peter Purves has written a book – Here’s One I Wrote Earlier. Set to be serialised in The Daily Mail, get set for revelations about the former Doctor Who and Blue Peter star’s sexual liaisons throughout the 1960s and 1970s!

I dare not speak any further, suffice to say that Mr Purves possibly had relations with the lovely Lesley Judd, not to mention coming clean about Valerie Singleton’s revelation about her "Big Sexual Experience" with Peter.

As for the Sixties Swinger’s dalliances with his Doctor Who co-stars – well a rather sprawling interview in today’s Daily Mail in advance of the book’s official release on Tuesday, 10th February reveals…

True to form, he managed to have affairs with various Tardis totty almost straightaway, including the actress Adrienne Hill and her replacement Jean Marsh, who was exterminated by a dalek at the end of the series Dalek Master Plan.

Of course, Purves was married at the time – his son, Matthew, was born in 1964, and five years later Mr and Mrs Purves adopted a little Chinese girl from Macau called Lisa – but fidelity clearly did not play a large role in his first marriage

Peter Purves came to prominence when he joined the cast of Doctor Who as a virtual replacement for the departing Wiliam Russell (original comnpanion Ian Chesterton) as a stranded space pilot called Steven Taylor.

After his departure from the series, he was back on screen as one of the "classic era" lineup of Blue Peter, alongside Valerie Singleton, Lesley Judd and John Noakes.

Here’s One I Wrote Earlier by Peter Purves is available from Amazon for just £11.39!
