Tennant’s Hamlet Award

Congratulations to David Tennant whose critically-acclaimed performances as Hamlet have earned a best Shakespearean performance trophy at the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards.

In a strong year for Shakespeare, Tennant shares the award with Professor Yana/Master actor Derek Jacobi, who garnered similar acclaim as Malvolio in Twelfth Night. Jacobi is of course a veteran Shakespearean actor of many years standing.

The David Tennant-starring production of Hamlet was completely sold out in advance.
