Continued Press Speculation

Until an announcement is made, the matter just will not go away (well, not until 6 months into the new Doctor’s television reign if the David Tennent era is anything to go by…) – so why not carry on the "game" of annointing potential future Doctors.

However, one that should not under any circumstances be considered is "Squashed David Tennant’s Head" looey-likey Tom Chambers.

The actor has apparently left hospital drama Holby City, and in the wake of his Strictly Come Dancing success is after a hot job.

‘I’d love to go into a West End show and I’d kill for the chance to be Doctor Who,’ he admits. ‘I’ve also got a film I’ve been working on. It’s a cross between Forrest Gump, Billy Elliot and Singin’ In The Rain – without the singing!’

Doctor Who?  You appear in a show alongside Hugh Quarshie and reckon you should be the last Time Lord?

That’s the thing about actors, they spend so much time in a fantasy world.

One actor who continues to be linked to the part of the Doctor – even though he’s already (sort of) played him – is David Morrissey.  His performance in The Next Doctor continues to impress, however, and who is to say that he can’t be the Doctor at some point in the future?
