National Television Awards Tonight

Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate go head to head tonight at the 2008 National Television Awards, as both are nominated for Outstanding Drama Performance for their roles as the Time Lord and his assistant Donna Noble in the BBC hit series.

The new category replaces Best Actor and Best Actress in an interesting shakeup that leaves the pair also up against Ashes to Ashes star Philip Glenister.

Kicking off at 8pm on ITV1, the show also gives Doctor Who the chance to be nominated as top drama once more.

So – very good luck to Tennant and Tate, as well as everyone involved in production of Doctor Who!
