Oh come on, give me a better title than that!
Matt Doman is a Welsh male model as well a Doctor Who monster actor, and he’s just on the coveted (!) Welsh Male Model of the Year award.
Of course after a couple of hours having a silicon mask glued to your face, no one knows what you really look like – as such Doman thought entering the competition would raise some eyebrows.
It appears that he was pretty much spot on with that…
“As a Doctor Who monster people don’t know who I am,” he said.
“I thought it would be great to enter the competition and let people know the man behind the mask – but when I had to walk down the catwalk in my underwear I didn’t realise I was going to reveal so much.”
“I’ve been a Doctor Who monster for about three years – it’s a lot of fun,” he said. “I’m speaking to you now on the set of Torchwood. My next projects are a Welsh horror film and a fashion show for Helen Rhiannon next week.”
Well, congratulations Matt on your "coveted" award.
Next week, we’ll trawl the archives for Bernard Bresslaw’s "Carry On Male Model of the Year Award" from 1966.
Is it me, or is this obsession with looks and physique just a little bit sinister?
