Doctor Who Stars in Autumn Lineup

Doctor Who’s enduring popularity among actors has seen the BBC Autumn lineup become scattered with actors associated with the series in some way or another.

Most obviously at present is the Marc Warren-starring Mutual Friends, which features the Love & Monsters co-star alongside the voice of Mr Smith, Alexander Armstrong.

Of highest profile among Doctor Who fans however will be Einstein and Eddington, the dramatisation of the correspondence-based friendship between the most influential scientist of the 20th century (Lord of the Rings‘ Andy Serkis playing Einstein) with the prominent British astrophysicist who championed his theories (David Tennant as Arthur Eddington).

A remake of the Terry Nation serial Survivors meanwhile features appearances from Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) as well as Shaun Dingwall (Pete Tyler), while Paterson Joseph (Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways) is cast as a principal character.

Also don’t forget Spooks: Code 9, which stars The Doctor’s Daughter herself -Georgia Moffett – on BBC Three.

Finally – Peter Kay is back! The Love & Monsters monster has unveiled his new show, Britain’s Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice, in which the reality show format is satirised, and will no doubt by populated by the type of carefully realised characters so typical of Kay’s shows, most notably Phoenix Nights.
