Children in Need 2008 Competition

So the Doctor Who-Children in Need tradition continues this year, with a superb prize of such wonder and magic to the lucky winner of a straightforward competition.

That’s right, this autumn BBC Children in Need is offering a truly fantastic prize. The BBC will take the winner of the competition – and up to three oof their friends or members of their family – backstage at the BBC Wales studios Cardiff on November 8th or 9th.

A visit to Upper Boat? Surely not!

Oh yes! The home of Doctor Who, Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures will be thriving on those days, with the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes and how the BBC brings all those other worlds to life. The winner & guests will meet set designers, costumiers, make-up artists and even monster makers Millennium FX!

Entrance is via telephone, so to be one of the 100 winners (offering a potential of 200 people a day trampling over the TARDIS!) hop on over to the BBC Official Doctor Who website for the very simple question and entrance telephone number!

Remember, it’s all for charity… which I guess is why the BBC let loudmouthed talent vacuum Chris Moyles into the place for a recent Radio One broadcast.

Christian Cawley

A long-term Doctor Who fan, Christian grew up watching the show and has early memories of the Graham Williams era. His favourite stories are Inferno, The Seeds of Doom and Human Nature (although The Empty Child, Blink and Utopia all come close). When he’s not bossing around the news team, Christian is a freelance writer specialising in mobile technology and domestic computing, and enjoys classic rock, cooking and spending time in the countryside with his wife and young children. You can find him on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
