David Duchovny: Who or Villain?

Speaking to the Radio Times, X Files star David Duchovny has claimed he would like to appear in Doctor Who as a villain, obviously believing it is a better option than a regular starring role as the Doctor (a character that Duchovny would be completely unsuitable).

The interview has found attention in a couple of disparate interwebby locations, most notably Digitial Spy.

"I love Doctor Who and I remember the first one, which was wonderful in its low-tech quality," Duchovny told the Radio Times. "I also loved the theme song, which sounded like The Cure to me.

"Which character would I like to play in Doctor Who? Who’s the bad guy? The Dalek? OK, I’ll play him."

Er, David, you sure you’ve seen Doctor Who before…?
