Anyone home?

The Telegraph reports that over 2000 people placed calls to the Doctor’s phone number as clearly displayed on screen during The Stolen Earth last week.

Around 2500 callers found a dead line tone – which seems strange, given its on-screen prominence.

Possibly a game for the fans that was never completed?

If you’re one of the obsessive 2500 – don’t worry, you didn’t get charged, an OFCOM representative confirmed:

"It wouldn’t have cost anything to call these numbers because they are not real.

"If someone did call it they would hear either a dead dial tone or number unavailable. There are a series of phone numbers we assign to producers for TV series."

Funny though – I could have sword I got through…
