Geordie Who

A canny bag of Tudor, Doctor Who flavour, hit Morpeth recently.

So – the Anchor Boys’ section of the 1st Morpeth Boys’ Brigade Company had arranged to have a special themed Doctor Who night, in which there were many related activities and all the lads had taken there own Doctor Who merchandise.

The star of the evening, though it seems, was a Dalek, painstakingly crafter by the “older lads” in the company

If you’re in the Morpeth area and want to join the brigade – a good opportunity to put something back into society by means of fundraising and other beneficial projects – the Anchor Boys’ section, (for lads from six to eight years old) welcomes new recruits, and meet on Thursdays at 6pm at the Boys’ Brigade Hall in Manchester Street.

NB: I got stuck in Morpeth for two hours once on the way back from Glasgow. What a cold, bleak, unforgiving place it was! So I kind of have mixed memories of the place… however, I like to do my bit for the North East.
