Radio Times Doctor Who Cover

BBC Magazines have forwarded us the cover of the upcoming edition of their listings magazine Radio Times…

On sale tomorrow, the Radio Times features a 16-page feature abouthe the new series and is accompanied by a stunning gatefold cover that features the Doctor and Rose, Sarah Jane Smith, K-9, a Cyberman and another new series villain…

They’ve also secured an episode-by-episode guide from series writer, Russel T Davies, and there are interviews with David Tennant and Billie Piper, plus some incredible behind-the-scenes photos and an amazing group cast and crew shot. As if this wasn’t enough, RadioTimes.com will be hosting video footage of the cast and crew group shot and how it was achieved online from tomorrow.

Speaking of magazines, Doctor Who Adventures is on sale now, and features an excellent – and stocked – pencil tin on the front cover, with games and comic strips aplenty inside. Officially its aimed at the 6-12 year old market. But I loved it! You can find out more in our news item from last week, which features a shot of the magazine’s cover.

Meanwhile, there’s some news from DWAS (the Doctor Who Appreciation Society) who report that in October 2006 Evil of the Daleks comes to the stage at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth, with Nick Briggs voicing the Daleks. You can find out more at www.evilofthedaleks.co.uk, which also features an interveiw with the actor playing the Doctor, Nick Scovell, who has previously appeared in stage productions of The Web of Fear and Fury From the Deep.

Also from DWAS, Andy Minion at the Crich Tramway Museum in Derbyshire is holding a “launch” for the only surviving TARDIS on Friday April 21st, and is on the look out for any local Doctor Who fans who might own Daleks, Cyberman suits or any other Who-related outfits who might like to attend. Regrettably, they can’t afford to pay expenses or any kind of a fee, but there will be a refreshment and photo sessions. You can email Andy Minion at dr-andy@aminion.fsnet.co.uk for more details.
