I love this programme, does anyone else watch it. I’ve got the first 4 series on DVD and will buy the fifth when I’ve got spare cash.

    Hi ZS,

Yes, I like Still Game. I’ve only seen the last couple of series, and I’ve gathered it’s not as strong as it was, but I enjoy it. Navid is a particular favourite.

I like the fact that it deals with the real world and therefore it can be crude, but underneath that the characters do look out for each other. It’s got a good heart.

    Certainly not!&nbsp; <!– s>:( –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/angry.gif" alt=">:(" title="Angry" /><!– s>:( –>

That angry face isn’t directed at you, Jack, but at ‘Game On!’

It’s a Scottish comedy about a group of old folk living in a sh%tty area of Glasgow, and their struggles with modern life. Don’t know if it’s shown much down south.

    Last night’s episode was a good one – ‘You rotten value-for-money bastards!’&nbsp; <!– s:D –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/cheesy.gif" alt=":D" title="Cheesy" /><!– s:D –>

(That might make sense to Zarbisupremo).

Not really. Kind of like a Scottish ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ but far more coarse and set in an urban environment, and not as embarrassing and dated and without those contrived stunt scenes. The characters are mostly all likeable old rascals. When I say ‘old,’ I mean pension age.

Apparently Greg Hemphill is rumoured to be up for the part of Scotty in the new Trek film…

heh! I never noticed that my use of the word ‘co*rse’ had been filtered because ‘co*rse’ contains ‘*rse.’

Can’t see the Hemphill as Scotty.

If it was a spoof, they could have Ronald Villiers in it, but they did that in Chewin’ The Fat. Wasn’t there a sketch in where there was a series of Star Trek featuring a crew from Fife ? I think I saw it on YouTube.

I’ll have to look for that.

Ronald VIlliers is genius! Did you see the one where he’s an extra on Dr Who?
