So did anyone else watch this (ITV’s rival to Dr Who)?

Polly and I were quite entertained but then she does like Godzilla movies <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>

I missed it myself, but I believe Charlie Croker saw it.

I was busy with my new website, so – well you know something has to give, after all Life on Mars is back Tuesday….

Sorry what’s this? What was the premise? Hmmm I’ll ‘acquire’ it if it’s any good.

Its a kind of Torchwood and Dinosaurs ITV attempt at sci-fi/fantasy programming, airing at 745 last Saturday (and I notice 7.20 this Saturday, so bang goes its long term future as it goes dancing around the schedules…)

Does anyone know what the viewing figures were like?

And is it still going to be on when the new series of DW is due to start? ‘Cause that’d make things interesting…

The first episode was pretty poor to be honest – actually it’s very similar to Doctor Who in certain respects … It’s got Hannah from SClub7 playing the Billie Piper role. It’s sort of Star Gate meets Dr Who meets Jurassic Park.

I’m sure the WHO production sighed in relief after the first episode – no immediate threat i don’t think – although it’s early days.

If it’s going to be changeable like that it’ll reduce audiences. And ITVs rival to Doctor Who shall be destroyed! Or at least relegated to a graveyard slot. *manic laughter*

OK, that’s getting a bit carried away, but I think I was born in love with the BBC. Or perhaps it’s a terrible disease known as "being middle class".

Right sorry. I’ll shut up now.

I go along with that. I have an innate distrust of anything on ITV. How many good sitcoms have there ever been on ITV? And how many on the Beeb?

I rest my case.

ITV did make some good fantasy back in the day (The Prisoner, UFO, etc);
INSERT INTO `smf_messages` (`ID_MSG`, `ID_TOPIC`, `ID_BOARD`, `posterTime`, `ID_MEMBER`, `ID_MSG_MODIFIED`, `subject`, `posterName`, `posterEmail`, `posterIP`, `smileysEnabled`, `modifiedTime`, `modifiedName`, `body`, `icon`, `edit_reason`) VALUES " but I haven’t seen Primark yet, and I’m reluctant to, as it’s like changing your football team or something.

LONG LIVE THE DOCTOR!

Episode two was very so so and predictable I’m afraid

Still I will watch on – it still beats Robin Hood <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>

‘Robin Hood’ as in rhymes with ‘Robin Hood’ or is there an actual programme called ‘Robin Hood?’

Yes, the Beeb did actually bring back RH as Sat teatime fare at the end of last year. Luckily for you, you live in Spain, and managed to avoid watching it.

That’s a shame.

If it represented a threat, it might make RTD lift his game a bit.

I’ve seen 2 episodes. 2 too many. Dull, rubbish characters, 1 dimensional personalities, cliched scripts and storylines.

A predictable, dull rip-off of Doctor Who via Jurassic Park.

They were wise to have the series finish a week before The Doctor’s return!

People high up at ITV must like it as they have commissioned another series. The deluded saps <!– s:D –><!– s:D –>

Next to Doctor Who, Primeval is my favorite Sci-Fi show.
