Looks quite good – better than I thought

looks like a Pierce Brosnan flick with some blonde guy running around.

I tried to like it, really I did. It looks flashy and kiss kiss bang bang but ultimately its some potato-headed dude who looks as dangerous as a daffodil.

    It’s a shame.

I know, I’m not sure about him either, though wish Pierce was in it

Well to be honest the black and white portions looked really interestingly shot, but then the color stuff happened. I also didn’t watch it with sound since I am still at work. Losing Pierce lost them alot of people.

Just not sure this will work for me.

From what I heard, they didn’t lose Brosnan – they kicked him out…

If so, then they deserve what they get…

Some have said similar things about Dr Who over the years…

Mind you, as Bond joined the British secret service in 1938 at the age of about 35/36 – then it’s no surprise that he’s had to regenerate on more than one occasion…

Hmmm, the one where Q invents the gadget to allow Bond to regenerate. Hollywood would buy that???

Why not? They had a stupid invisible car in the last one!

    ‘Oooh look, there’s a space.’

    CRUNCH.

    ‘Me Aston Martin!’

‘Blimey, didn’t see it, ere what’s with the gun?’

    BANG

    ‘License to kill mate.’

I’ve just rewatched the trailer. Well the new guy hasn’t quite got the suave good looks of Brosnan but then he does seem to be able to act. And Brosnan a little like Moore sort of rode on his one acting facial expression.

I reckon this guy is going to be good … but how come ‘M’ is still Judi Dench ? Doesn’t this film predate Dr No ?

I can’t let you diss Brosnan – if he couldn’t act/was too old, etc, then After the Sunset wouldn’t have worked. Fact is it is a superb film, shows what PB can do and while I know what you’re saying about facial expressions, Kingdom, it’s what the role demands… <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>

As for the continuity side of things, well this is the Bond series version of the UNIT dating issue I guess…

Never posted in this thread, but for my money nothing beat Sean Connery….. <!– s;D –><!– s;D –>

ps strange but true – one of my bosses/buyers/contacts in the recycling industry worked on the same ‘milk float’* as Mr Connery

pps *’milk float’ – a very slow vehicle, used to deliver milk in the early morning to households in the 50′s and 60′s
