This week, the Doctor Who World Tour rolled into Seoul and Sydney, taking the brand new episode Deep Breath to two audiences that wouldn’t normally get to see it before fans in the UK.
Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman only finished shooting Doctor Who on Thursday night. The following day they were whisked to South Korea to the first of their overseas events, comprising the screening and a Q&A, some of which will also feature Steven Moffat (depending on work commitments).
The Seoul event was covered on Saturday here on Kasterborous. The following photos were provided by BBC Worldwide afterwards:
If you missed Saturday’s event (or more likely, the live feed!) there is a video of highlights:
Isn’t the fan reaction out there superb?
To get a better feel for things, there is also this short film that the BBC’s official Doctor Who YouTube page has released…
So, from Seoul to Sydney, where the TARDIS took Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman today. Following the Seoul event, the scheduled Q&As have been moved to after the screenings of Deep Breath (yes, Mr Disgruntled of Nantwich, some kids in South Korea saw it before you) rather than before. Probably something to do with the quality of questions during the first event…
In Sydney today (yesterday if you’re down under) Peter Capaldi received an astonishing standing ovation when introduced to fans at the screening.
We’ve also been treated to the following images:
That’s it for a couple of days, until Sunday, when Jenna and Peter will hit Mexico City. You’ll be able to watch the Q&A on YouTube from around 6pm UK time.
