BBC News Interviews Capaldi – With Clips!

MILD SPOILERS FOLLOW!

BBC New’s Lizo Mzimba has interviewed Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi at the premier of Deep Breath for the beginning of the World Tour in Cardiff. And the footage also contains clips from the Phil Ford-penned second episode… featuring a Dalek!

The clips allow us our first proper glimpse of Capaldi in the swing of things, with Luther‘s Michael Smiley in tow.

We’ve plenty of photos from the World Tour so far.

And Captain grumpy returns. Great to see clips from episode 2.

Less light, more shade… oh joy!

Not impressed with the use of the term “a more elderly Doctor”, mind. At last count isn’t he over 2000? Kudos to Peter for reacting to that one so much more gracefully than I would have!

After seeing those clips though I am finally starting to anticipate a Dalek episode again. They’ve not been highlights in the last few years, but this one looks intriguing.

    • And it’s by Phil Ford…

I don’t think I’ve been looking forward to a series so much since the “first” back in 2005.

  4. avatar Al says:

I see what they mean when they say he’ll be a little bit like Malcolm. That “carer” line is classic Thick of It!

Brilliant interview and I loved the “carer” line – darkness and humour – could it get any better? I think we are heading for a golden era in Doctor Who history.
